Trend Analysis
Trend Report- High Road Hustle
Completed April 2021 for 2022/2023, compiled with 15 trends for my chosen target market being the hardworking career woman. I observed previous and current trends, through multiple media outlets. It was difficult to meet the requirement of three full-body pictures per trend as many of my predictions were specific. This customer prefers quality over quantity, solid colors or a pop of color, and isn't afraid to try new silhouettes. Garments that flatter the figure while looking powerful and professional.
Fashion News Article
I was tasked with writing about something currently happening in the Fashion Industry when a photo of Rihanna and her baby bump went viral. I used this opportunity to elaborate on Rihanna's style, success, impact, and future in the Industry.

Styling
Brand Photoshoot
In this assignment, I compiled a presentation based on research for a Sustainable brand- ABLE. I curated outfits to highlight a specific piece of merchandise based on the online catalog. Based on the brand's image, I selected models, photography and makeup style, and location for a photoshoot.
Fashion Detox Styling Project
In this assignment, I was responsible for selecting 2 pants, 3 tops, 1 jacket, 2 pairs of shoes, and one accessory- a scarf, from my closet to curate outfits for 7 days.
I approached this as a Capsule Wardrobe, by choosing staple garments that are easily interchangeable. I chose pieces that complement each other when layering and are transitional from cold to warm weather.
The solids I included are fleece, suede, and a knit texture, as well as denim.
I considered swapping a sneaker for a heeled boot but didn't have an occasion to wear heels and wanted to make this as realistic as possible.
Event/Advertisement
This poster was made to promote our university's annual fashion show in 2022. "Back to Life, Back to Reality" because it's the first in-person show in two years. I considered gender neutrality when choosing a cover image to represent all 12 collections. I designed this advertisement using Adobe Photoshop.
I designed this poster as a mock-up for a seasonal fashion line "Beach Day Chic." I designed 4 garments and created a mood board, tech flats, a colorway, and a sustainability statement. I designed this advertisement using Adobe Indesign.
I designed this advertisement for a shoe "Chopines" of the 16th century, for a magazine about Bianca Maria Forza. The magazine included clothing popular during the time, a day in the life, and her importance. I chose this format and design to suit her
Window Display
I designed this window display in Photoshop, based on research of a Sustainable company- Girlfriend Collective. The company recently had a campaign promoting its new swimwear that's made from recycled fishing nets.
I chose this brand because they are women-owned, local to Seattle, Sustainable, and innovative.

The Play No Skronking by Shel Silverstein has two characters, Arnold and Bertha, who have a disagreement about the "Skronking" which is unknown to the reader. The only other parameter is that Bertha is behind a counter. It was important for me to portray Bertha as the protagonist, and tell No Stronking from a female perspective. Once I interpreted it through this lens,
not only is it an important perspective but relatable for a lot of women.
No stronking explores the importance of approach, as Arnold’s ego makes Bertha more uncomfortable as he continues to demand a response.
Scenic Design
The play's setting is a strip club, where Arnold is a customer who enters and meets Bertha at the bar. Bertha is the bartender although Arnold is drinking coffee because some strip clubs, including this one, don’t serve alcohol. Because of this, Bertha has dealt with customers who are a bit drunk before entering the club. The “No Stronking” sign is in the bar, where Arnold becomes curious and engages with Bertha. Bertha is busy and doesn’t spend time with customers who usually don’t tip but save their cash for the dancers. Her annoyance over giving Arnold special attention grew more the more Arnold was curious. Bertha is at her job that she can’t leave, she feels uncomfortable the more she has to engage, and the pressure arises because she feels trapped. In this instance, Arnold is curious but pestering Bertha, the beautiful woman behind the counter, because he’s never been in a strip club with that sign.
Lighting Design
Since No Stroking is in a strip club, more like a “gentlemen’s club” (neon signs in the bar, and along/under bar countertop) the atmosphere is calm, classy, and intimate, , thus the cooler tones of blue, and purple, red and pink, and warm tones will be canceled out using filters and subtractive color mixing, at 45% angles to light the main actors faces well, although it’s dim. On stage right, near the back of the set (“backroom”) is where the dancers, and poles on stage are, There will be gobo lights back there in motion, but with the minimal light, there will be atmospherics. Since much of that room isn’t visible, the moving lights will reflect a bit of excitement.
The focal point moment is where Bertha reaches the point of feeling too uncomfortable and fearful she walks backstage right (“backroom”), to portray the fear and discomfort Brenda, I’d like the red light to be the brightest out of the smart lights, right before she walks away, once she walks away across the stage, will be the cue for the red to crossfade and the blue and purples appear more, then gradually all be dimmed, to leave the audience feeling a pit drop in their stomachs and unsettled as they feel Bertha's emotion of Arnold going too far. The scene may end while the lights dim with security guards walking up to Arnold to escort him out.
Costume Design
Bertha has been in the industry for several years. At the start, it was dancing, but as she matured a bit more and had more experience, she was a bartender and supervisor. Bertha's dress is longer yet has trendy cutouts that are minimally revealing. Her choice of dress is classy and trendy, but Bertha looks very presentable. She’s focused and not worried about getting special attention herself, she’s there to work.
Arnold is a businessman, very comfortable in this type of setting. His suit and outfit have coordinating details like black shoes and belt match because he’s detail-oriented. He takes pride in looking “presentable” and clean-cut. He’s used to his reputation and appearance, getting his good treatment and attention. The top buttons are unbuttoned also indicating Arnold's comfortability and confidence.
